Kamal Hassan announces Vishwaroopam release date

Kamal Hassan has announced the date of Vishwaroopam release. After much-confusion and troubles over the release, the actor on Wednesday (January 9) claimed that the multilingual movie would officially hit the screens on January 25. A press release was released by his production house Rajkamal Films International which read, "Based on the unstinted support of theatre owners and distributors fraternity Vishwaroopam will release on the 25th of January, 2013, in not less than 500 screens across the state of Tamil Nadu." "I appreciate the exhibitors and distributors brethren for having understood my vision for creating a new revenue stream for the film producing community through DTH," he added. Kamal also thanked everyone who was with him to support him in his mission. "I thank each and every one who stood by me and all those who have extended their support and cooperation in this endeavour." However, the actor did not reveal about the DTH release in the press statement. But rumours have it that it will be aired on the fourth day of its release. Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroopam is directed by the actor himself and it also features Pooja Kumar, Rahul Bose and Andrea Jeremiah in the important roles.
