The past few months
have not been that good for RIM due to the diminishing sales of Blackberry
handsets in 2012, however with 2013 coming up it seems the table will turn
around. The company is betting big on its upcoming BB10 OS and related
smartphone line up. A fresh round of information about Research in Motion's
first BlackBerry 10-powered Z10 has started floating around in the market. Most
of the specs of Z10 were confirmed by BBin. The device is said to be quite
powerful and a giant leap compared to its predecessors. Z10 is going to be the
first BB10 based BlackBerry smartphone. Though the company has kept it a secret
until now, a few specifications have come online through BB.in. The specs look
good and could turn out to be the company's savior in its doldrums. Z10 is said
to have a nicer interface, an intelligent touch keyboard and a camera app. The
rumored specs of the device include a TI OMAP 4470, a 4.2-inch display, a
2-megapixel front camera, 1.5 GHz dual core processor, 2 GB of RAM, an
8-megapixel rear end camera with LED flash, quad band LTE, a micro SD slot and
a 1,800mAH battery. The phone is rumored to have connectivity options including
Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, a Micro USB and HDMI-port, a dual band Wi-Fi and GPS. As per
the sources the device is likely to be launched in just over five weeks from
now. The launch is expected on January 30 of the coming year and it is most
likely that the company will launch Z10 along with the BB10 OS. Finally there
seems some positive news for Blackberry lovers!
